Life Edit is looking for an enthusiastic person who desires experience working part -time in a Biotechnology research lab with a long-term career in EHS. This role reports to the Site Manager of EHS and would conduct EHS functions & activities in the Facilities and Maintenance group. This is a contract position for an 8 hour shift one day a week.
Here’s What You’ll Do:
- Conduct weekly and monthly inspections of safety equipment
- Inspect and refill spill supplies and first aid cabinets
- Monitor and document inspections of chemical waste storage
- Participate in the Behavior Observation Program (BBS)
- Complete other assigned duties related to EHS
- An interest in biotechnology and EHS
- Minimum of 12 semester hours of EHS coursework
- Ability to lift > 40 lbs.
- Competent with computer software
- Ability to be at work on the same workday each week.
