About Ger
Ger Brophy is an advisor on strategy and technology for ElevateBio. He previously served as interim CEO for the Company.
Prior to that, Ger served as Executive Vice President, Biopharma Production at Avantor. At Avantor, he led commercial, R&D, production, quality, and regulatory activities and expanded Avantor’s bioproduction capabilities and geographic footprint. Prior to Avantor, Ger was Head of Cell Therapy at GE Healthcare Life Sciences (now Cytiva) where he built and led a cell therapy manufacturing business. Previously, he held a variety of research and development, strategy, business leadership and business development positions with GE Healthcare Life Sciences, GE Healthcare Medical Diagnostics, and Amersham.
Education and Accomplishments
Ger is the Chair of Avantor’s Scientific Advisory Board. He holds a Bachelor of Science in biotechnology and a doctorate in molecular biology from Dublin City University in Ireland.
